Olli Bery is a French photographer with a very direct approach that leaves no room for concessions. He developed his photographic language around reality, which allows him to exhibit the unusual, but also recognizable, face of the world. His works are a vibrant dialogue that takes place in an intimate environment. Olli Bery knows how to listen and how to respond.

“My work is constructed like a musical score in which my emotional flashes impose the rhythm on the photographs and direct the operating modes I use to respond to them.”

“Olli Bery traverses photography as a warlord, some battles knock him down, the hope of a triumph makes him get up again. Words proclaimed, images constantly replayed, traces preserved, this is the opera of the repair of beings that staged. Engravings, prints, experiments, each image, like an illegitimate child, plays its own score, then returns to form a body in installations that evoke the heritage of the avant-gardes, with its relics and fetishes. Counterculture, personal mythology, the incandescence of existence, the delicacy of impressions – Olli Bery’s approach to photography is akin to the description of a battle.”
