Schwarz-Weiss-Druck: Das Zürcher Start-up blackprint hat ihn von Grund auf neu erfunden
Angefangen hat alles mit dem Fund uralter Fotoglasplatten aus einer privaten Sammlung. Darauf Aufnahmen namenloser Fotografen, die unter grössten Strapazen ihr Equipment zur Teufelsbrücke, auf die Rigi oder zum Fuss des wütenden Vesuvs geschleppt haben, um für Maler jener Zeit Vorlagen zu schiessen. Über 100 Jahre später elektrisierten sie das multidisziplinäre Künstlerpaar Patricia Bühler und Anthony Chrétien. Diese entwickelten Technik, Know-how und Verfahren, um die historischen Sujets auf Papier zu bringen. Entstanden sind Drucke von so herausragender Qualität, dass sich die beiden entschlossen haben, ihr Können künftig allen zur Verfügung zu stellen, die analoge oder digitale Schwarz-Weiss-Daten zum Leben erweckt haben wollen. Sie gründeten das Studio blackprint und verschrieben sich ganz und gar dem Revival des Schwarz-Weiss-Drucks auf mitunter höchst einzigartigen Papieren aus der ganzen Welt. www.blackprint.photo
