Photography and image-based art — black and white editions on Japanese and fine art papers, glass-laminated objects, original paintings, drawings, and video installations, produced in-house at our Zurich studio or by the artists themselves.

The Collection spans unique works and strictly numbered editions, drawn from two distinct sources : a private archive of historical photographic glass plates, and contemporary works produced or presented in collaboration with living artists.

Diego Brambilla works in analogue black-and-white photography, primarily through gelatin silver printing. His Collection OFF brings together three series that share a common medium but separate processes — each tied to a different chemistry.

Structural Accidents begins with digital capture. From the digital files, Brambilla produces film negatives, which are then printed by enlarger in gelatin silver. The subjects — fragmented concrete structures, fractured industrial surfaces — are documented as found. Each work is a unique work.

Mingled with Voids is developed in Caffenol — a non-standard developer that produces irregularities, tonal shifts, and grain behaviour that conventional chemistry does not. Each work is a unique work or an edition of three plus one artist’s proof.

Ultraplanets extends this experimental ground further, using plant-based developers — Wineol, Rooibos, or Caffenol — selected through testing rather than assigned to a specific image.

The works in the Collection OFF are produced independently by the artist. They are not blackprint editions.
