The Collection spans unique works and strictly numbered editions, drawn from two distinct sources : a private archive of historical photographic glass plates, and contemporary works produced or presented in collaboration with living artists.

The first Karo edition draws from blackprint’s archive of glass plates made by photographers who travelled the world in the late nineteenth century — subjects documented at a time when photography itself was still a form of exploration. Many of the places and things they photographed no longer exist. Printed on Arches Velin BFK Rives. Limited to 365 copies.
